I was looking over the directions for installing gNS on a Lemote
Yeeloong and it appears that process is currently in wizard-only
stage. That's awesome that it can be done though does anyone know what
the likelihood of the installation process becoming as easy as an
Intel desktop is?

I assume that by "wizard-only" you mean the ncurses-based installer as opposed to the "easy" live CD installer. The next version of gNewSense is going to be based on Debian. Work is going on to port the live CD installer to Debian, so it will then probably work on the Yeeloong as well.

And on a related note, does the community have the personpower to
create a gNS derived from the Ubuntu netbook remix? Are there plans or
talk to do so?

I'm not aware of any plans or efforts to do this.
