Sorry for the inconvenience. It's still not working properly. I become 403 Forbidden while updating: 403 Forbidden [IP: 2001:770:18:aa40::c101:c140 80] Is it because they didn't synchronised yet, or the problem with the configuration isn't resolved?
After the first fix attempt the European server synchronized at around 07:00 GMT in half an hour. This made the "Hash sum mismatch" error go away. However, because of a configuration error the European server didn't see the top level directory and shifted everything one level up. That means that the update software can't find files where it expects them to be (403 message).
Right after the server was done synchronizing the configuration error was fixed. After a few hours it started synchronizing again and the European server's status page [1] is telling me that it hasn't finished yet.
gnewsense Wed Nov 25 13:01:51 GMT 2009 in progressI don't know why the first sync took only half an hour and the current one is taking over 7 hours. But the fact that it *is* synchronizing is a good sign at least.
