I had a quick browse through Perseus' source code, but found no 
reference to a license. So I assume that it's non-free software. I 
advise you to not use it for the time being and ask the author(s) if 
they are willing to release it under a free license. If they agree, 
report it to the IceCat mailing list [1] so that it can be added to the 
list of free add-ons [2]
