What support for free software?
BACKGROUND: I believe a little web search on "Intel Poulsbo Linux" is in
order. You'll find the words "mess" and "rejected" quite often in your
search results.
Intel GMA 500 isn't a 'real' Intel Chipset. It's licensed from PowerVR.
(IMNSHO Intel is having trouble making power-efficient video chipsets
lately.) The only "Linux" drivers available for this chipset are a
closed-source, binary-only outdated pile of code.
"Ubuntu Linux 8.04" is listed because that's the only distribution that
has the binary drivers. gNewSense is a fork of Ubuntu 8.04, but that
didn't include these awful awful drivers.
TLDR: Best avoided.
