Hello everyone,

I have a fresh install of gNewSense 3.0 (metad) on the Yeelong. Kernel
is In the first partition of the disk I kept the
original Debian that was preinstalled in the machine with Linux

I like Iceweasel and Icedove better than Epiphany and Evolution, so I
installed them in both partitions. In the first partition under Debian
they are both working fine. However, under gNewSense Iceweasel works
but Icedove doesn't.

Icedove won't start. Launching from the Applications menu results in the
round pointer doing some work only to die after a few seconds. I've seen
there were bugs in the past causing this behaviour in Thunderbird under
Ubuntu, but they are claimed to be fixed. Also, this is a fresh install
with no extensions or plugins, so that can't be the cause. So after a
long research without being able to solve the problem I'm wondering if
any other Yeloong gNewSense users here have encountered a similar
situation and would be willing to share some clues.

This is what I get launching from the command line:

~$ icedove
/usr/lib/icedove/ line 131: 3366 Segmentation fault
"$prog" ${1+"$@"}

~$ /usr/lib/icedove/icedove-bin
/usr/lib/icedove/icedove-bin: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

~$ locate libxpcom

~$ ls -l /usr/lib/icedove/ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9756
2009-07-07 20:12 /usr/lib/icedove/

~$ ls -l /usr/lib/icedove/icedove-bin -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 101712
2009-07-07 20:12 /usr/lib/icedove/icedove-bin

I get the same results as root.
