Do you have any plans to contribute this to getgnash.org (to make it available to deltah and hardy users in a repo) or to create a patch for deltah's Builder?Does the latter means that you want to make Gnash 0.8.7 available through deltah-backports repo?
Lots of users would be very happy with better Flash support. If someone provides a nice patch to get a recent version of Gnash into the repo, I'll accept it.
I'm not into gNewSense development yet, so I have to learn how to deal with Builder. Is [1] the best starting point for now?
Yes. Questions are welcome on the gnewsense-dev mailing list or the #gnewsense IRC channel.
to make it available to deltah and hardy users in a repoIIUC, the deltah-backports repo is suitable for hardy users also, so if I'd go the Builder path, I'd cover the needs of both deltah and hardy users. Have I got it right?
The deltah repos are only meant to be used by deltah users. However, deltah users could use an Ubuntu Hardy repo at getgnash.org. I don't know how hard it would be to set up such a repo. Maybe you can work something out if you talk to Rob in the #gnash channel. He's a busy man and has already helped us a bunch by setting up the metad repo. Maybe if he gets some help it will be feasible to set up an additional repo.
