Try Ctrl+Alt+F1 or Ctrl+Alt+F2 or Ctrl+Alt+F3 to get to a shell.
You can also try Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to stop the X server and get to
a shell.
You should also know that Ion2 window manager has a good
ability to kill processes. So, if the key combinations, mentioned
above, do not help, you can try to install ion2 and use Alt+C
(or any combination of keys, specified by yourself) to kill the
needed process.
