You mean that you have deleted the boot.cfg file?If you hit DEL when the machine starts you will enter the PMON2000 shell. From there you can use commands 'load', 'initrd' and 'g' to boot from the hard drive or USB drive. See also http://gnewsense.org/Projects/GNewSenseToMIPS
