gnokii's sendsms command

Hi All,
I am doing a project(final year college proj.)and i am using a precompiled
gnokii(0.3.3), i just want to know,
what is the format of the sendsms command.....
gnokii --sendsms destination [--smsc message_center_number |
       --smscno message_center_index] [-r] [-C n] [-v n]
       [--long n]

What i suppose i am really asking is how to you terminate the command so
as it sends the message,
or does it just await until it has 160char's(and someone press's return?)
