Re: Data Calls - No Carrier

Dumb layman's question:  Can't error correction and compression be disabled
on the cellphone with an AT command in the init string?

I know the phone accepts the commands (by replying with OK), but I don't
know if it just does this for compatibility with terminal software and
possibly ignores those extended commands.
