TDMA phones

I’m working in an application with 8051 MCUs that uses TDMA nokia phones 
(6120, 6160 etc.) with communication via MBUS in car mode. I’m having 
difficulties in some points:
1)I need to read SMS messages stored in the telephone;
2)I want to know if the telephone is turned on or turned off, therefore when 
I am charging it, there is tension in MBUS and the telephone answers all the 
commands   sended, except command to complete connection (pressing SEND);
3)I want to know if the cell is in car mode (carkit).
