Connecting to my isp

Hi,
I have been using gnokii & xgnokii with my Nokia 6150 and they work fine
thanks. But I am battling with gnokiid, using version 0.4.0. I copied the
scripts in the Data calls a quick start, i.e. creating file demon-gnokii,
then pppd call demon-gnokii. The phone dials, I get CARRIER on the screen
then a few moments later I get NO CARRIER & get message saying connect
script failed. I am not sure if it is my setting or isp as I have never
dialled in using Linux, new to Linux.

I am using Mandrake 8.2, with a DAU-9P cable and Nokia 6150 model NSM-1 Rev
SW 5.23.
