Hello Jan,

With xgnokii 0.5.0pre  i read the contacts 
i edit 1 (changed nothing) 
write contacts.

Check Nokia 3310 and:
the line changed has the name filled with blanks !!!!

export the contacts to a file
import the contacts from that file
write contacts.

Check Nokia 3310 and:
all the contacts have a name filled with blanks.

This afternoon i bought a new simcard.
The shop read the old sim in a reader
copied the contacts to the new simcard.
As soon as my simcard is working (change from prepaid to fixed subscriberfee 
with the same number) i try again to see if the problem was in the old 
simcard (1997) .
If not than the 3310 has a problem.
