Hi all,
I have a nokia 8390 cellphone, I tried to connect it to my laptop
(inspiron 7000D) with the infrared device using gnokii and following
the recipe I found in
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=8390+gnokii&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=amk39i%241v93%241%40FreeBSD.csie.NCTU.edu.tw&rnum=1
but I got no luck: gnokii sits there waiting for a while and then
prints out the following error message:
gnokii --monitor
GNOKII Version 0.4.3
Couldn't open PHONET device: Bad file descriptor
Does anybody have ideas on how to get the 8390 to work ?
Has anybody actually gotten it to work ?
(for reference in my gnokiirc I use
port = /dev/ttyS1
model = 8390
initlength = default
connection = infrared
bindir = /usr/local/sbin/
use_locking = no
serial_baudrate = 19200)
Thanks
-Gabriele
