The modules.conf given in section 'Configuration' in the Linux Infrared HOWTO (
file:///usr/doc/irda-utils-0.9.15/Infrared-HOWTO.db/infrared-howto-s-configuration.html
) suggests use of modules for these parts (anyway - I prefer to use modules as
this saves resources).
