Timeout variable in .gnokiirc |

Hi
I wondered what I'm doing wrong as I can't stop gnokii from timeing out
when sending a sms from my debian console, 5110 on the T-Mobile network,
here in the UK? I've ammended the variable in the .gnokiirc file but it
doesn't seem to make any difference. I also noticed that it is very
difficult for the ctrl -d command to register to terminate the text
input of a sms. I usually have to issue the command twice but even
then, sendsms times out and fails to send the sms. I can't seem to find
any consistancy with the ctrl -d being acted upon.
I'd appreciate any suggestions on how I can improve my efficiency in
sending sms from gnokii.
Many thanks.
Gena
