Advice on SMS Gateway appl

Hi,
I'm planning to develop a SMS Gateway application
using gnokii with
OS: Redhat Linux 9
DB: MySQL (ofcourse, that comes with Redhat)
Nokia Hardware: Nokia 30, connected to USB, which
supports AT command

I read the article that came in the phparch magazine
to develop SMS gateway using php & gnokii. Going to
follow that...

Please advice me on this.
