Nokia 6100 & DC-6100 serial data cable

Hello,
I bought a Nokia 6100 and a DC-6100 data cable wich looks like this one :

I'd like to know if it's possible to use my mobile phone as a modem with 
Gnokii using this data cable (i.e if someone has already made gnokii work 
with Nokia + serial data cable).
I had some problems this day to use gnokii with these devices. I searched 
messages for Nokia 6100 and lot of problems are met when trying to use 6100.
