gnokii-0.6.1 win32 compile

hi all,
 i downloaded gnokii-0.6.1.tar.gz and tried to compile the same in VC++ as
mentioned in the docs readme-win32.
what does the first line in that readme mean 
1) Put the Gnokii source in <path>\gnokii\gnokii src.
what is the gnokii source

i compliled gnokii.dsw  but i am getting an error as follows 

linking...
