Could you please do it with gnokii? Ie.
$ gnokii --getphonebook ME 123 -r > entry.txt
[fix the entry if it is necessary]
$ cat entry.txt | gnokii --writephonebook -o
I think something may get wrong when preparing phonebook entry.
