Nokia 7110 problem

Hello everyone

I have a Nokia 7110 connected with a serial cable, we cand send en 
recive SMS but sometimes we need to read what it says on the display but 
 only get this error:

-bash-2.05b$ gnokii --displayoutput
GNOKII Version 0.6.4
Error: Command called isn't implemented in model.

Will this feature be implemented for the 7110 model or do I need another 
phone?
