gnokii --> Initialization failed (11)

Hello 

I tried to use the NOKIA 3220. it should be working like 6510
this is my config-file:

i use a serial/USB connection. the cable is called GS-AC101!
i use GNOKII Version 0.6.4 from the tarball

when i try gnokii --identify i get always:

can anybody tell me what means the errorcode "11"?
the gnokii-errors file is empty.

my system: 
gentoo-linux
kernel 2.6.9.
