There is something called playsms that does exactly what you want. I think you 
can find it at sourceforge.
Php mysql and gnokii-smsd.
Anyway, if you use gnokii-smsd you just have to put the data on the database 
and it will be sent and the replies will be placed on another table.
It is very simple, really.
