lock file error

hello people.i have just updated to the latest
version.
but this problem exists and in the previous.it might
be my problem.
whenever smsd doesn't work i delete the lock file and
it works...after some time it just dosn't work and i
have to delete it again.
any ideas?
moreover do you know if i can install the binaries
from debian and pass to apt-get the parameter to give
me debug output?
