Can not redirect gnokii output

Can not redirect gnokii output |

Hi,
I'm trying to redirect gnokii --smsreader output to a
a seperate file with
gnokii --smsreader > /root/inb
but what happens is that a new file which is empty,
and the output is still displayed in the shell, and
nothing is copied to the file, why?
