connecting to multiple phones via bluetooth

Hi, I would like to connect to many different phones to send messages
and get phonebooks and the like, but it seems that gnokii only supports
one phone to be tied to it. Is there anyway other than having
multiple .gnokiirc's and overwriting the default one to overcome this
problem?

using Fedora Core 3 and gnoki v0.6.8
