Sanyo 2300

I have a Sanyo 2300, and it connects on /dev/ttyASM0. The first few AT
commands, (ATZ, ATE1,) get OK responses, but AT+CMEE=1 and AT+CGMM
give errors and the telephone interface init fails.

Any suggestions would be appreciated?
