ok, so connection = irda and model = AT works
what is the difference between irda and infrared - i can't find
anything in the docs that mention that there is a difference and the
comment in .gnokiirc :
# The type of the connection, for IR set this to infrared or irda.
# For the nk6110 driver only infrared is valid for the IrDA connection.
is ambigous - i interpreted it to mean that the two terms were synonymous
