How to write phonebook to Nokia 6100? |

Hi all,
I try to transfer phonebook from 6510 to 6100. I can read the phonebook
successfully from the 6510 with IrDA, with "model = 6510" in my .gnokiirc.
But I can't write the phonebook to 6100. When I have "model = 6100" in my
.gnokiirc, I get a message that gnokii might break 6100 so the command is
refused. When I change to "model = AT" I get a timeout:
$ cat pb.vcf | gnokii --writephonebook -o -m ME -v
GNOKII Version 0.6.10
Telephone interface init failed: Command timed out.
Quitting.
$ gnokii --identify
GNOKII Version 0.6.10
Telephone interface init failed: Command timed out.
Quitting.
I'm using IrDA with the 6100. The infrared port of my 6100 works, it can
receive contact cards from a Nokia 9500.
I'm using self-compiled gnokii 0.6.10 on kernel 2.6.11. Earlier I had gnokii
version 0.6.7, which gave similar results. I did not uninstall 0.6.7 when I
compiled 0.6.10, could that cause problems?
By the way, what is causing the 6100 break down? Is the problem that the 6100
cannot handle messages if they come too rapidly??? If so, could the pace be
made slower (additional delays if the model is 6100)?
Regards, JJ
