But even though I am able to now solve the PHONET problem, I still cant
access my sms. I can get gnokii --identify to work. But when I run gnokii
--getsms ME start, it cant work and returns this error:

Serial device: closing device

I have tried using gnokii --getsms SM start, gnokii --getsms IN start,
gnokii --getsms OU start but they all fail. 

I know that gnapplet is running cos if I don't run it, gnokii can't even
connect. I have used gnapplet that is provided with the 0.6.14 version. Just
to add in, my phone is the Nokia 3230.
