I am trying to use gnokii 0.6.14 with a Nokia 6230i (firmware v.03.62) and DKU2 cable on Linux Fedora core 5 build 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5smp, with the following config values:

Although I can send messages (with sendsms), read calendar entries, getnetworkinfo, listnetworks, dialvoice and getphonebook, I cannot use getsms or smsreader (though this is mentioned in the wiki as not supported).
When I try to use getsms, I receive the following error (apologies for length of log entry)
