Hi guys I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle with gnokii.
After installing the program I then went about connecting my nokia 6680 to my
laptops usb port with the cable that came with the phone. I am running fedora core 5 as a vmware. When I connect
the device it appears up on /dev as ttyACM0. I used the following for my
configuration file: port = /dev/ttyACMo model = 6680 connection = dku2 I used dku2 for connection as I did not know which
one to use. When I type in gnokii idetify GNOKII Version 0.6.12 LOG: debug mask is 0x1 phone instance config: model: 6680 port_device: /dev/ttyACM0 connection_type: 0 init_length: 0 serial_baudrate: 19200 serial_write_usleep: -1 hardware_handshake: 0 require_dcd: 0 smsc_timeout: 1000 connect_script: disconnect_script: rfcomm_cn: 1 sm_retry: off Serial device: opening device /dev/ttyACM0 Message sent: 0x01 / 0x0002 00

| Received message type 01 gnokii: pkt.c:55: buffer_expand: Assertion
`buf->size >= buf->offs + len' failed. Aborted So I changed the port to the default for the
configuration file to ttyS0 I then ran the same command and I got the following: GNOKII Version 0.6.12 LOG: debug mask is 0x1 phone instance config: model: 6680 port_device: /dev/ttyS0 connection_type: 9 init_length: 0 serial_baudrate: 19200 serial_write_usleep: -1 hardware_handshake: 0 require_dcd: 0 smsc_timeout: 1000 connect_script: disconnect_script: rfcomm_cn: 1 sm_retry: off Telephone interface init failed: Function or
connection type not supported by the phone. Quitting. I then tried changing the connection to “connection
= dlr3p” but had no luck Could someone help me. Thank you in advance for any
