Hi,
Thanks for all your suggestions. Together with Daniele Forsi we
considered them and applied few changes to our build system.
First of all, we removed suid and strip targets. They seem quite obsolete.
Then, there are few, let's say top-level targets:
- all, which compiles the sources
- install, which installs binaries, libraries and most of the docs (user docs)
- install-devel, which installs binaries, libraries, headers and all
of the docs -- you want to use this target when you develop/compile
something based on libgnokii
There are few smaller targets like install-binaries, install-docs,
install-includes etc, which you may use as well.
I was (and Daniele) testing it a bit, but for sure didn't cover all
the testcases, so please give it a try.
take care,
pkot
