Dear Experts,
I have been using gnokii for a while with my phone, and I'm trying now
to set up my wife's phone, a 6070 model. The infrared should be all
right, I copied the config file from gnokii list of configurations:
model = 6510
port = /dev/ttyS0
connection = serial
However, the connection fails:
gnokii --identify
GNOKII Version 0.6.22
LOG: debug mask is 0x1
Config read from file /home/guido/.gnokiirc.
Lockfile /var/lock/LCK..ttyS0 is stale. Overriding it..
phone instance config:
model = 6510
port = /dev/ttyS0
connection = serial
initlength = default
serial_baudrate = 19200
serial_write_usleep = -1
handshake = software
require_dcd = 0
smsc_timeout = 10
rfcomm_channel = 1
sm_retry = 0
Connecting
Serial device: opening device /dev/ttyS0
Serial device: setting speed to 115200
Serial device: setting RTS to low and DTR to low
Getting model...

the it loops for a while and exits.
Must be a simple issue, I suspect!
Thanks again for your help (I got help for my phone months ago).
All the best from Genoa, Northern Italy.
