Everything looks good. I'd suggest you doing two things:
 - try different locations, but one by one; I think the phone might
store messages in random locations, but it's giving back us 321 which
might be misleading -- the same error would be returned for location
1234 (I know we should be smarter, but we are not at this moment)
 - search for AT manual for your phone and see what does it say about
SMS reading.
