probably the fact that FBUS is undocumented

before replacing any hardware try with model=AT

there's no need to use FBUS when your phone supports the AT commands
that you need and you can send SMS with the AT protocol with most
Nokias, while recent models do not allow reading received messages,
the 6510 should be able to do both
