hello friends,

i am attending gnoppix in the idea of making an easier to install debian (with
hardware autodetection), enriched with the more advanced gnome based graphics
programs, which i wish to also translate in hebrew with advanced bidirectional
features.

the hardware autodetection should be triggerred upon the debian installation
boot, and the packages list (also their minimal version and location) should be
deduced using the drivers' database.

as an all in one livecd loaded with this kind of system, i like gnoppix very
much, and i wish to report some issues that will make it even better (version
0.7 beta):

1. gnoppix installation to the hd is nice, but it unfortunately lacks
configuration files made up by hardware autodetection.
2. as i've installed gnoppix in an existent partition, i've chosen to install
grub in the gnoppix partition only. the grub menu loaded, but i have managed to
boot gnoppix only by the grub command line.
3. gnoppix livecd failed to work with an usb mouse.
4. the web browser seems to have been brutally interrupted the session before
the cd was made, so it is asking whether to reopen previous session.

if possible, please make the gnoppix packages repository available online.

thanks and best regards,

alex
