? I hope you have your own authorization procedures in place, because
otherwise you're vulnerable to accidents of completion, reuse of
history, bugs in wrappers which keep track of archives in use, etc.
What should happen is that if he tries to change your archive he gets
an access denied error.
I agree that it's hardly ever useful to set my-default-archive to
somebody else's archive, but it shouldn't be a problem for the archive
owner. Rather it's because comparison commands generally use the tree
version, while merging commands you want to specify the archive
explicitly the first time, and after that you can use shell history.
Thus the user doesn't get any benefit from it.
