Hi,
traverselisp.el is on emacswiki since some time now, and is stable, so i
propose it here.

You can get it on emacswiki:
http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/emacs/traverselisp.el

or with mercurial (hg) here with anything-traverse.el + texi (not
finished yet):
hg clone http://freehg.org/u/thiedlecques/traverselisp/

traverselisp.el is a replacement of lgrep, rgrep, occur ...
with more comfort of use and more features thought it is 
more slow because it's all elisp.
No external program is needed unless you want to browse or search in
archives (gz bz ...etc..) with avfs.

It is well integrated in dired.
It can be used in Anything with anything-traverse.el.
