Details:

Many data servers allow queries in an anonymous mode through a given URL which
can easily be downloaded through a downloader like uURL or Wget, for example
see Gaia's command-line access
<https://gea.esac.esa.int/archive-help/index.html>.

A user can simply go and search for each database's standards and apply them
for their needs, but that is a lot of trouble and takes time. We can thus add
a program to Gnuastro that will be a wrapper over many datasets with a unified
command-line interface.

The users just have to specify which database they need to query from, and the
various query values can be fed as command-line options, each with a given
range.

For example the command bellow will download the Gaia DR2 catalogs around the
coordinates (113.649496, 31.888578, the star Castor), within a range of 0.001
degrees and with magnitudes 10 to 15.

astquery --database=gaia-dr2 --ra=113.648496,113.650496
--dec=31.887578,31.889578 --magnitude=10,15 --output=around-castor.fits

The same can be done for image servers when they have a simple interface like
this.
