Starting GNU Go with "gnugo -l game.sgf --mode gmp" should do
this on the GNU Go side of the connection. The challenge is to sync
this with the other part.

Trying to do this with gmp is kind of painful. In fact the difficulty
of doing this with gmp was one of the reasons for creating gtp in the
first place.
