I have sent a Savane patch to Beuc too, some time ago. Fortunately the GNU
Herds source code is much better organized and documented. You can take a
look at the GNU Herds architecture at [1].

You can download the source code at [2] to take a quick look.

The next task we want to accomplish is:

a mechanism without fees to do micro donations and payments between GNU
Herds users, and allow them to get direct donations from non-GNU_Herds
  users or similar...

Besides, the project is organizing its entries as:
    job offers
    donation pledges and
    volunteers looking.

GNU Herds is _not_ asking for donations! GNU Herds want to offer a
mechanism without fees to its users.

I attach you an image which tries to depict it.

You could take a first look at the idea at [3]:

The development team to carry out such task, at this time, is Saugata, me and
anyone more who want to join (somebodies are wanting in the buffer? :-). We
work slowly but surely. The idea is drafted at [4]. We will start a detailed
analysis today.

Additionally the project have some advisers, documentalists, translators, etc.
subscribed to this mailing list to help with the project.

If you want, you should follow the steps exposed at [5] to install the
development environment on a GNU/Linux system.

We will help you to understand the source code, etc. Ask for anything you
need!

We communicate via this email list. You could subscribe at [6].
