Hm, the current version works as a drop down list, too ? It
drops down below the input line when something's typed.

I mean, sure, only the input line where one is currently
editing will actually _display_ the dropped down list, that
much is certain. But a combobox can do that, too (wxStyle =
wxCB_DROPDOWN), if I understand the docs correctly.
If people don't like what emerges we can always change it again.
