Nope Not yet (?). Maybe never (this screen/tab/mask/module,

Nope. The design is: The repository base directory is
configured once in the backend/conf-file. One unique
directory is created per scanned document (possibly spanning
several pages). The name of the directory may or may not get
used as a reference string for the physical document. There's
two directory creation modes:

1) consecutive numbers (to allow to continue with existing
   numbering schemes)
2) "random" directory name generation: this will yield a
   unique "few-digit"-number plus the current timestamp

Yes. Button "show (page)".

No. That's handled in another app/module called gmIndexMedDocs
to allow for separation of tasks (scanning vs. indexing).

No. Just deleting accidentally scanned pages that don't belong
to this document.

Overkill I guess ...

Please yell if you need more specifics. The current design was
conceived with a very specific workflow in mind and will not
likely be suitable for all situations.
