All,
while offline I have been working on some views. Of particular
interest may be the following three:
v_zip2street
v_zip2urb
v_zip2data
While the former two provide more convenient views at
street/urb data does the latter aggregate all known data per
ZIP code (eg. fusing street and urb). It will in due course
also contain country and area code (telco data, that is) but
for now is useful to easily find associated data given a ZIP
code.
This is useful for rapid manual patient input: After entering
name and date of birth GnuMed should ask for the zip code.
>From that it can derive likely candidates for:
- country
- state
- city (urb)
- street
- area code (phone system, not yet)
Next, GnuMed should ask for the street from which city, state,
country and area code can be deduced unambigously in most cases...
