meaningful commit messages since they are "none of your
business" in the sense of that it is not obvious what you did.

This simply ain't the way it works. Go read LKML to learn
about submitting patches. Yes, this may mean your work gets
ignored for a long time. Yes, it may mean that things don't
move as fast as you'd like. Yes, I am pissed.
