Nothing so fancy. The fields (patient name & address, specialist name & address,
clinical notes and couple of flags (say "include medication list" and "include
past history"
are sent to a business object which uses a fixed template to construct a letter
(most referral letters are quite formulaic) which is then sent to the printer.
The fields will also be sent to the database (we need a record of outgoing
correspondence)
so this would be in parallel to a database-UI mapping: all we need is 'event
hooks' to
do these extra things.
