I marked the day in question with *** (the Estern Germany "Tag der Republik"
was on 7. October - Karsten, you should know this! ;-) ).  Just use "gcal -hh"
to find out which country code to use for other countries.

PS: A nice excercise is to pipe the output of gcal for different countries
    through "wc -l" and find out which people are celebrating most. ;-)
