It does for me with xpdf.

However:

- it is *very* light on light (probably that's why Dominique
  suggested to darken it up :-)
- why the heck does OS X think anything non-text is PDF ?
- if they standardize on PNG and SVG *only* that's fine but
  not on PDF for simple graphics !?!
- we need to steer clean of just reusing Mac OS X' icon but it
  can nevertheless serve as an example
