As a temporary solution to not being able to see the multiple choice patient 
pick list, I've made the dialog centre, and each of the columns 200 wide, 
which should work well in most situations.

The layout is called layout1 (yours is def layout). My sizer is sizer_main 
(yours was szr_main), 

I've not changed any of the dialogs in any other keypress than the enter-key.
